The Cloud Architect will apply hands-on experience to evaluate proposed cloud solutions, administer accounts, and monitor usage. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud products with regards to setting up accounts and organizations to enable an enterprise content management and project portfolio management platforms. Work location is client site, Fort Belvoir, VA.Note: Telework is acceptable under current government directed COVID measures. Upon amendment of those measures, liberal telework or a remote location will be acceptable with occasional requirements to travel to client offices at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and other Army locations.Job DescriptionResponsibilities• Responsible for evaluating cloud-based technical solutions/designs in accordance with client requirements• Provide expertise to monitor the designing and engineering of infrastructure and applications to the Cloud• Responsible for client’s overall cloud experience, including being the engineering point-of-contact for resolving reported performance or delivery issues• Responsible for ensuring that all vendor cloud solutions comply with industry and Government-mandated security protocols, controls, and best-practices• Work closely with Cybersecurity resources to document controls, support accreditation, Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation and provide metrics to comply with audits• Responsible for escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate levels for clarification and resolution• Administer and monitor IL5/IL6 cloud accounts and performance levels• Build parent and child accounts or organizations within an IL5/IL6 environment• Establish and maintain a working knowledge of AWS & Azure products and capabilities• Perform unsupervised, hands-on work in DoD based cloud environments• Work independently within team environments to set up and maintain cloud architectures• Manage multiple and competing customer priorities with little supervision• Develop High Availability and Disaster Recovery processes in accordance with government and industry guidelines• Help establish DevSecOps Pipelines within the GovCloud FrameworkQualificationsRequired Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related technical discipline• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, executing, and supporting AWS or Azure environments• Experience with maintaining hybrid cloud solutions• Must possess an active Secret Security ClearanceDesired Qualifications• Master’s degree in related field• Top Secret security clearance• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or similar certification(s)• Experience working in IL6 or equivalent secure environments• Experience with security requirements in a federal IT environment, including FedRAMP-certified providers and FISMA requirements for acquiring an ATO• Experience with Agile and containerization methodologies or strategies• Experience with Cross-Domain Solutions (IL5 / IL6)Additional InformationThis firm is very entrepreneurial and consulting oriented.
